Support
Bring a bug, a setup that will not behave, or a vehicle nobody has tried yet. The Discord is the quickest way to reach us, and email works just as well. It is a small server and early — which means the person who wrote the app is the one reading it.
Before you write: the usual suspects
Most "it is not doing anything" reports come down to one of these.
Location: precise, and allowed while the app is in use
Speed comes from GPS and nothing else. On iPhone, Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Speed Comp should be While Using the App with Precise Location on. On Android, the location permission should be granted as Precise. A reduced-accuracy fix cannot produce a usable speed.
Is a session actually running?
Look for the Live Activity on the iPhone Lock Screen, or the ongoing notification on Android. If neither is there, the session has stopped — on the free tier that happens two hours after it started. Tap start again.
Is the speed reading moving?
The home screen shows the current speed. If it sits at zero while you are moving, the phone has no GPS fix: check the permission above, then give it a clear view of the sky. Dense tree cover, a metal roof or a phone buried in a bag can all delay a fix.
Are you above your start speed?
Below the start speed you set, the app does nothing by design. If your start speed is 25 and you are doing 20, the volume stays at the floor. Lower the start speed in Settings if you want it to begin earlier.
Does your speaker or headset have its own volume?
Speed Comp moves the phone's media volume — the level the phone sends out. A speaker or headset with its own volume applies that on top. If the phone's level is already at maximum, there is nowhere for the app to go: lower the phone's volume, raise the device's, and set the baseline again.
Smooth gain on Android: open Speed Comp first
The Pro smooth-gain effect attaches to your music app's audio session as that app starts playing. If it seems to do nothing, quit the music app, open Speed Comp, then start the music.
Now playing on iPhone shows nothing
On iPhone the card can only read Apple Music — that is the only player iOS lets an app inspect. Spotify and the rest will not appear there, though the volume compensation works for all of them.
Subscription missing after a reinstall
Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen. If the store still says there is nothing to restore, check that you are signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account you bought with; subscriptions do not cross between the App Store and Google Play.
What to include in a report
The more of this you send, the faster it gets fixed.
Your setup
iPhone or Android, the phone model and OS version, the app version, and what the phone is playing to — speaker, headset, the boat's stereo.
Your settings
Start speed, top speed, the unit, and whether smooth gain or the now-playing card is on. A screenshot of Settings covers all of it.
What happened
What you expected, what you got, and whether the simulation behaves the same way. If the simulation works and GPS does not, that alone narrows it a long way.
Privacy requests
Access, correction and deletion requests go to the same address.
There is no account, so there is very little to look up: the iPhone app sends us nothing, and the Android app's only server-side record is the purchase verification described in the privacy policy. To find that record, include the Google Play order ID from your receipt. We respond within 30 days.
